Who we are
Courthouse Digital is a legal technology consultancy. This site, courthousedigital.com, describes our services and lets prospective clients get in touch. This policy explains what we collect through the site, why, and what we do with it. It applies to this website only, not to the case management platforms, search tools, or AI products we help law firms configure. Those products have their own privacy terms.
What we collect
Information you send us. The contact form asks for your first and last name, email address, firm name, and a description of what you need. Job title, firm size, the service you are interested in, and a phone number are optional. Emailing or calling us shares whatever you include in that message.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested, including the IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of the request. We use these logs to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Search and business data. We use Google Search Console and Google Business Profile to understand how people find us in Google. Those tools report aggregate data to us. They do not tell us who you are.
How we use it
We use what you send through the contact form to respond to your inquiry and to decide whether we are a fit for your firm. If you check the box asking for occasional updates on legal technology, we may email you those updates. You can unsubscribe by replying to any message or by writing to us at the address below. We do not sell contact information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.
Who handles the data on our behalf
A few vendors process data so the site can work:
- Vercel hosts the site and produces the server logs described above.
- Resend delivers the email that the contact form generates, including the confirmation you receive after submitting it.
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace hold our email.
Each vendor processes data under its own terms, and each publishes its own privacy policy.
Cookies
The site does not set cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your browser may store small amounts of data so pages load faster, and your browser settings control that.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as we are in a business relationship with you or could reasonably expect to be, and then for the period our records rules require. If you want a submission deleted sooner, ask us.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@courthousedigital.com. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request that concerns your data, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, and we will honor those.
Children
This site is for law firms and their staff. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update this page. Continued use of the site after a change means the new version applies.
